The Intel Core i5-10400F is a mid-range desktop processor with 6 cores, launched in April 2020. It is part of the Core i5 lineup, using the Comet Lake architecture that can boost gamers with Socket 1200. Thanks to Intel Hyper-Threading the core count is effectively doubled, to 12 threads. Core i5-10400F has 12MB of L3 cache and operates at 2.9 GHz by default, but can boost up to 4.3 GHz, depending on the workload. Intel is making the Core i5-10400F on a 14 nm production node, the transistor count is unknown. The multiplier is locked on Core i5-10400F, which limits its Overclocking potential.
